Rose De Porcelain

A trip to Newcastle

I never knew you could meet a posh Geordie, but it turns out they do exist, and this one literally turned up with her own crown!

Anyway, hello again, its time for another blog! I’ve been sitting on all sorts of images over the last year and totally ignoring the fact that I have a great little place here to show them off. So here are some more results of my button pressing jiggery pokery!

So I have actually known Rose (Kat) to chat to probably since about 2014 but as we were on opposite ends of the country we never really got a chance to work together. It was a shame because I always thought she had the most amazing face and had really wanted to work with her. Then she stopped modelling for a little while so I thought that was that and the chance had passed but luckily for us all she had a change of heart and decided to shoot again and I nabbed the opportunity to shoot with her while I could.

As so often happens, after all that time we ended up shooting twice in the space of a months or so. Go figure!

The first time when I had a few days off and decided to go on a little road trip up north to sunny Newcastle (where it rained). I made sure to stop of at the Angel of the North on the way because I hadn’t been there for years and its an amazing sight!

I had booked a little (Teeny tiny little actually) AirBnB to shoot in which had a couple of cool features. Not knowing Newcastle though I had no idea that it happened to be situated just off the roughest street in town, and when I went out to get some food the night before the shoot I was greeted by some lovely ladies kicking seven bells of shit out of each other outside the local ‘Spoons. I wouldn’t have trucked with them to be honest! I legged it back home with my kebab hoping I wouldn’t get in the way of their stiletto fight and got my stuff ready for the shoot the following day.

Anyway, she rocks up at some ridiculous time early in the morning and I had to get up (so much for a lie in on my first day off in forever) So I sent her off to make me a cup of tea, or a ‘brew’ as she calls it! And we figured out what we were going to shoot.

There wasn’t really a shooting plan, which is quite normal with me anyway. We just decided to ‘shoot a bit and see what we come up with’ and then have some pizza later. I just knew I wanted to do a couple of nice portraits and we would go from there.

I used my prism for a few shots, (I hadn’t used it for ages so thought it was about time I got it out of the bag again) and also made use of the windows for gorgeous light and reflections. I love the rain on the windows and am going to try to do more portraits using water on glass soon!

Anyway, we had a great first shoot, ate lots of pizza and here are some of the images. Hope you like!

Thanks for reading :)

Then a few weeks later it was a change of location for our second shoot. Kat drove down from Newcastle to sunny (not really) Twinklebury-On-Sea where we had intended on shooting some Latex stuff in a big abandoned mill in town. However the previous few weeks weather had caused some pretty monstrous floods and the place was literally under water at the time and there was no way of getting in at all.

As the weather was so hideous we resorted to shooting at my home, which luckily for me lends itself well to cool images, and at least it was dry and a tad warmer.

We shot the latex first using window light only. I had also found an old skull chain in a box which made a great lead for Kat’s collar. I had recently bought a huge candelabra and matched that up with another two I had borrowed from my friend and lit all the candles, it looked fab!!

These shots were helped a little with a studio light and a 6ft softbox throwing in a little extra light (just the modelling light, none of that flash stuff). I really love how these images came out!

We had discussed prior to the shoot about making images that would hopefully look incredibly sexy, with a slightly erotic/fetish theme, but which would still look as classy as possible in their styling and editing. Looking back at them now as a little collection I think we succeeded in our goal and I really hope you agree.

Finally, this blog is going out on Kat’s birthday! I always thought Geordies were some of the friendliest and most fun people around, and I was proved more than right!

Also, if you shoot with Kat, she sings a lot. Just letting you know!

Thanks for a couple of awesome shoots singing Geordie crown girl! Another one soon I hope :) Happy birthday x
